Why Choose Greenstuff Brake Pads?
The EBC Greenstuff brake pad range is the first of many upgrade options when it comes to stopping power. Designed as an entry performance brake pad, Greenstuff is perfect for vehicles that are driven enthusiastically on the road.
Manufactured from softer compounds when compared to alternative pads, the EBC Greenstuff range offers improved brake pedal feel at lower driving speeds.
To complement the improvement on pedal feel, the compound allows for mid dust levels which will keep your wheels cleaner for longer as well as a strong lifecycle before the pads need replacing, whilst retaining minimal brake disc wear. All EBC Greenstuff brake pads are manufactured in the UK and are fully ECE R90 approved for road legal use in Europe.

Why Choose Turbo Groove Discs?
The Turbo Groove Discs have unique wide slots which help cool the discs and brake pads alike, and together with the blind drilled dimples help clear surface gases without affecting the structure of the disc unlike through drilled discs.
Dirt, dust gases, grit or debris from heavy braking exit the pad braking area through the slots that extend to the outer edge of the disc – a unique feature of the EBC discs. This ensures brakes pads wear flat and parallel throughout their use, in turn improving your braking. Anodised by gold zinc; these discs are also protected from corrosion in the areas not swept by the brake pad.

These EBC discs offer outstanding performance, look great on the car and are favoured by enthusiastic drivers. For optimum performance, use Turbo Groove Discs with EBC Pads.

Standard front brake disc suitable for Triumph Spitfire, Herald and Vitesse 1600.
The brake disc is duplex ground after final machining. This additional process helps the brake pads to bed in to the disc much faster than conventional machined discs.
We recommend changing discs as a pair and you should replace the brake pads at the same time.

Retooled by Rimmer Bros for 2023, these backplates have been unavailable since Triumph closed the doors in the early eighties.
We see lots of cars where these are either rusted through, deformed or worse still, missing altogether!

The total removal of the backplate is a common mistake that causes premature failure of other components. The backplate protects the braking system from debris and also protects the suspension rubber bushes from the heat generated/ dispersed by the brake disc.

Product Description

Triumph Spitfire Front Disc Brakes and Fittings (Type 12 Calipers) Mk1 and Mk2
SPITFIRE BRAKE CALIPERS
Early Mk1 Spitfires (to FC15219) used a separate mounting plate to locate the caliper to the vertical link, with the corresponding steering arm lever & stub axle, (see 'Front Suspension' for illustration).
(This caliper mounting system was originally used to convert early Herald 1200 & 12/50's from drum to disc).

This assembly was less than ideal, and at FC15220, all Mk1's were produced with modified vertical links that allowed the caliper to mount directly (discarding the separate mounting plate), along with a revised steering arm lever and a strengthened stub axle.

Please check the type of caliper fitted.
Mk1 & Mk2
Girling type 12 calipers
Mk3, MkIV & 1500
Girling type 14 calipers
It is possible that the calipers could have been replaced (with non-original spec') by a previous owner. If you are in any doubt, please phone with as much information as possible, vehicle details & caliper type.

Good value, and a quality product.

These Brake rotors are great... the issue I have is not with the product itself, but what occurred after they left your premises for shipment. somewhere along route from the UK to Canada, the entire shipment of parts was completely soaked in water. Fortunately, most of the parts are packaged in sealed plastic bags, which prevented any damage. The bags that the rotors were in, however were punctured, letting water in, and causing some corrosion on the braking surfaces. I will be able to clean them and use them, but I shouldn't have to.
