This flanged repair liner is suitable for damaged/porous 3.9/4.0/4.2/4.6 Rover V8 blocks. The block will require reboring and flange recess machining before fitting.

This liner is the complete solution for fixing these blocks. The liner can be bored to 96.00mm for over-bored versions of the V8 engine, taking it to 5.0 litres. Semi-finished bore 94.00mm (less 1.00mm for final finishing in bore).

Cylinder Block
Suitable for all applications.
Bare cylinder blocks are supplied with main bearing caps, cam bearings, core plugs and cylinder liners but less crankshaft, pistons etc.

Head Gaskets
Composite head gaskets are thicker than standard tin gaskets and will therefore lower the engine's compression ratio. Ideal for correcting compression ratio when heads/ block faces have been skimmed. (Not applicable 1995 on).

Approximate gasket thicknesses are as follows:

Standard (tin) gaskets 0.5mm
Composite gaskets 1.2mm
