Triumph 2000/2500/2.5Pi Manual Gearbox Assembly
GEARBOX/OVERDRIVE IDENTIFICATION
'A' type gearbox overdrives are fitted with a 2 bolt solenoid, and a large round brass sump plug.
'J' type gearbox overdrives are fitted with a screw-in-type solenoid, and have a rectangular 'finned' sump (6 bolt fitting).
Gear Oil :-
2.0 Litres required for gearbox and 'A' type overdrive
1.5 Litres required for gearbox and 'J' type overdrive
1.2 Litres required for non overdrive
Note: Exchange Units.
All our gearbox/overdrive units are supplied on a strict 'LIKE for LIKE' exchange basis.
IE: 'Non-overdrive' gearbox for 'Non-overdrive' gearbox.
Your old exchange units must be in an undamaged and servicable (not dismantled) condition, and all fluids/oils must be drained before being returned to us for a refund of exchange surcharge. We reserve right to retain all, or part of the exchange surcharge if the above conditions are not met.
Please ensuer you are ordering the correct part and that your old unit is complete, assembled & servicable.
