Range Rover Classic Cables

Introduction
Automatic transmission was introduced as an option for the Range Rover in August 1982.

The first auto box fitted was the 3-speed Chrysler Torqueflite A727 unit. This gearbox was used until September 1985, when it was replaced with the ZF 4HP22 4-speed box. The ZF box remained until the end of Classic Range Rover production.

Serial Number Location
The ZF 4sp gearbox has a plate bearing the serial number attached to the lower left hand side of the gearbox casing, visible from beneath the vehicle.

"I like how all the vehicle parts are shown in diagrams with part numbers next to them, it makes ordering the correct part very easy." Customer Comment Feb '12
