When fitting alloys to your Discover for the first time, check that the wheel studs are suitable for alloys by looking for a slot or a triangle marking on the end of the stud. Studs marked in this way have a larger head, necessary for the fitting of alloy wheels. Similarly, alloys require suitable wheelnuts and cannot be fitted using nuts from steel wheels.
