I had issues with aftermarket thermostats before, and on a mid engine car which is very sensible to heat issues, this is really a critical part. Never buy aftermarket thermostats for a mid engine K series (MGF/MGTF/Lotus)

The connector is plastic, do not force it.

One end of the 4 way connector snapped off when renewing hoses, replacement was identical to the old one and worked perfectly when fitted. The item was in stock and arrived with other items within 48 hours
