The original carpets did not fit that well, so certain areas have been modified to improve the fit.This kit includes the two main floor carpets and a matching rear bulkhead piece of carpet. On these models, there is a 6 piece sound deadening kit under the moulded footwells. Most MGF's leak water, so before ordering your new carpet, may we suggest that you peel your original carpet away from the bodywork in front and behind the seats to inspect for water damage to these insulation pieces. We can offer you a new insulation kit if required. (Part no. RP1109) To fit these carpets, you will need to remove the seats, the rear "T" bar and cubby boxes. It is not necessary to remove any of the centre console section. A Torx no. 50 spanner, a Philips, a flat screwdriver and some contact adhesive are the only items you require to fit this set. After chassis number D4 620549, these later carpets were fitted. Another way of checking if you have the later style, is to peel the carpet away from the sill and if you can see the white foam backing, then you definitely have the late style carpet. Our set contains not only the new carpet pieces, but also an insulation kit that needs to be fitted to the floor pan, which in turn will make the carpet fit perfectly. We give full fitting instructions with each set

INSTRUCTIONS:

To fit these carpets, you will need to remove the seats, the rear "T" bar and cubby boxes. It is not necessary to remove any of the centre console section.  A Torx no. 50 spanner, a Philips screwdriver, a flat screwdriver and some contact adhesive are the only items you require to fit this set. We estimate a fitting time of no longer than 3 hours to complete the job.

MGF and MG TF Interior Carpet and Fittings
We say ‘aftermarket fitment’ to distinguish these carpets from the original fitment (which are now no longer available), but in many ways they’re superior to the originals.
New moulding tools have been commissioned and as a result the opportunity has been taken to greatly improve the fit and durability. It also means that carpets are now available in a wide selection of colours, complementing the interior trim items now available, as well as original style black.
Each kit includes a pair of full-length moulded floor carpets plus the rear bulkhead carpet. Because they’re moulded exactly to shape, no gluing or trimming is required and fitment takes approximately three hours (removal of the seats is required during the process).
Also included in the MG TF kits are floor insulation pads, replicating the original late model MG TF thick white foam-backed carpet specification and guaranteeing comfort and improved noise suppression.
