Standard loaded cast iron head complete and assembled. Fully machined and assembled, ready to fit. This spec cylinder head is standard size with lead-free compatible valves.

These have been manufactured as close as possible to the original TR4A specification , with the exception of a few upgrades, notably, the webs between the spark plugs have been improved and the flange thickness has been increased to give added strength especially if it is skimmed for a higher compression ratio.
The inlet valve shroud (the overhang directly below the inlet valve) has been removed, which is what you have to do when skimming a TR4A head, this may look a little unusual when fitting a head gasket against it but it works absolutely fine.

High Port aluminium cylinder head complete with hardened valve seats, valves & springs ready assembled. Suitable for unleaded fuel and pre-skimmed for immediate installation.

These heads feature thickened flanges and increased webbing between the spark plugs for improved strength.

Torque to 75lbs ft.

The LM25 aluminium cylinder head dissipates engine heat more effectively than the cast iron original and also saves a considerable amount of weight too, making it a great upgrade for performance applications.

The head will accept the original rocker assembly. We recommend you take the opportunity to service the rocker assembly at the same time.

Can be fitted as a direct replacement for TR3 from engine number TS13052, TR3A, TR4 & TR4A applications.

Can also be retro fitted to earlier cars (TR2 & TR3 to engine number TS13051) but will require the later inlet and exhaust manifolds to suit.

Product Description

Triumph TR2-TR4A New Cylinder Heads - 4 Cylinder
Brand new cylinder heads and cylinder head assemblies are available in a choice of cast iron or alloy materials.  These cylinder heads are all very close, top quality reproductions of the later 'high port' TR4 and TR4A style castings.

Two stages of build are offered:
Cylinder Head - with valve guides and seats for standard valves fitted (but without valves, springs and caps) or
Cylinder Head Assembly - completely finished and assembled with standard valves.

Note that the manufacturer recommends as much new hardware as practicable is used when installing a new head to ensure as good a fit as possible.

Also note that while engines with cast iron heads require the original Triumph recommended anti-freeze mixture, engines with alloy heads will require 100% summer coolant to prevent a sacrificial (electrolytic) corrosion reaction between the alloy and iron engine castings.

All cylinder heads listed are to lead free specification.
