You can easily convert your TR to wire wheels with these conversion kits.
Note: Lockheed-braked TR2s and TR3s to TS13045 require complete hub changes and therefore can only be converted by purchasing the individual parts required. The 60spoke wheels fitted to later cars are 1/2" wider than the TR2 & TR3 48 spoke wheels. 60 spoke wheels (with correspondingly wider tyres) may be fitted to TR2 & TR3 Lockheed axle cars, but the Lockheed rear hub seal design is weaker than the Girling design and may become prone to more frequent failure (with resultant oil ingress to the rear brakes) with wider wheels and tyres fitted. For later TRs, certain EC countries do not allow the 2-eared knock caps; the octagonal option should be purchased. When fitting wire wheels, check the length of the wheel studs (shorten or purchase the alternative studs) to ensure they do not foul the backs of the wheels.
These wire wheel conversion kits, finished in chrome or traditional silver paint, are sold as a set of five wheels complete with splined hubs, bevelled nuts, 2-eared knock caps, hide hammer and a cleaning brush.
Note: 3-eared knock caps can be supplemented at additional cost.
