Starter Motor Uprated - GXE4442UR - Powerlite
Starts engine regardless of compression or temperature.

Up to 200% more cranking power using up to 50% less current.

Fits as straight forward replacement to all Rover V8 Saloon/Sports based vehicles.

Some cars (mostly with 9V coils) had an additional wire from the starter/solenoid to the coil to give a voltage boost to assist in starting in cold or adverse conditions. This is normally not required and can be disconnected. If, however, the starter motor cranks but fails to start then it may be necessary to connect the cold start wire with a large diode.

  • Diameter at spindle: 13.1mm
  • Diameter at cogs: 25.3mm
  • Diameter at base of cogs (inner casing): 47.6mm
  • Diameter at base of cogs (outer casing): 73.0mm
  • Mounting hole pitch: 118.6mm (Note one end open bolt mounting on solenoid side)
