Allisport Uprated Intercooler Kit - Defender Puma 2.4 TD4 with Aircon
Designed to replace the original much smaller intercooler on the Land
Rover Defender TD4 / TDCi / Puma 2.4 fitted with Air Conditioning. This
intercooler is over twice the size of the original Land Rover item! This
highly efficient product is designed and manufactured by AlliSport Ltd
and comes ready to fit utilising the original pipe work and mounting
brackets. Constructed using our ultra efficient vacuum brazed core
design with internal "turbulators" to increase cooling capacity. CNC
stamp cut for quality and consistency and fully TIG welded by hand. The increased cooling capacity together with the appropriate
electronic tuning can allow performance to be increased to over 170BHP
with an improvement in fuel economy. Fuel economy increaces by, on
average 10% with a reduction in cylinder head thermal stress. Thermal
stress is actually reduced as the EGT or combustion temperature is
reduced dramatically. In order to get the best from this upgrade the
fuelling needs optimising to suit.
