Shipping

We use quality carriers!

At Rimmer Bros, we opt to use the best carriers in the business to ensure your order is delivered safely, securely, and on time.

Orders placed on our web site are despatched as soon as practically possible, using the method selected in the order cart. If your parts are required urgently and you want an express delivery service, please select the relevant option, and we will do the rest.

We use Royal Mail's first class post service or air mail service for small packages, and UPS (the world's leading carrier), for most of our domestic and the majority of our overseas parcels. Larger domestic orders are sent via Night Freight, and for customers in Europe we also utilise DPD (as an alternative to UPS) for a cost effective, economy delivery service by road.

These options provide our customers with a choice of the best services available.

Prices for shipping (including packaging and handling), are shown in the order cart. For export of oversize parcels outside the UK, please see below for shipping charges as these may not be accurately displayed by our web site.

If you have any special delivery requirements, please indicate in the 'Order Comments' box on the 'Order Recap' page. Additionally, if your order includes any back-ordered parts and you want it held until it is complete, you can enter 'HTC' (Hold Till Complete) in this box.

Once your order is shipped, we will email confirmation to you, including tracking information if applicable.

Please note that as a security measure, your first order with us must be delivered to the credit card holders registered address.

United Kingdom
Shipping charges (including packaging & handling) are calculated on the weight of the consignment and the desired shipping method.

We utilise Royal Mail's first class post service or UPS. Larger domestic orders are sent via Night Freight or Pallet Line.

Supplements are applied for Saturday delivery, Royal Mail Special Delivery and out of area rural destinations including Highlands, Scottish Islands, Northern Ireland, Isle of Man, Isle of Wight and Channel Islands.

Any quoted delivery times are for 'working days' from despatch and exclude weekends and bank holidays. All delivery times are guides, no guarantees can be given. Certain large or bulky items may incur an additional packing charge. Please note that the delivery driver may need assistance to unload large/heavy items - Please advise if special delivery arrangements are required.

EU Countries
Shipping charges (including packaging & handling) are calculated on the weight of the consignment and the desired shipping method.

We utilise Air Mail or UPS Air Express Saver services, and in addition DPD road service (as an alternative to UPS) for an economy parcel delivery service by road, at a very cost effective rate. Larger European orders are sent by air or road freight by alternate carriers, depending upon destination and speed of service required.

Our web site automatically calculates the shipping charge based on the weight of the goods. For orders that include oversize, large / bulky parts (e.g. body panels), an additional shipping charge may be incurred, which will not be reflected in the charge our web site displays. This is because the charge is calculated on physical weight, rather than volumetric weight. This can not be calculated until the order is packed, measured and weighed. If the volumetric weight exceeds the physical weight, we will notify you by email prior to despatch if the shipping charge our web site has indicated is insufficient, and inform you of the new shipping total, seeking your authorisation to proceed. Certain large or bulky items may also incur an additional packing charge.

VAT at the ruling UK rate will be applied to the order if shipped within the EU.

Worldwide (Non EU Countries)

We utilise Air Mail or UPS Air Express Saver services. Larger overseas orders are sent by air or sea freight by alternate carriers, depending upon destination and speed of service required.

We do not charge VAT on orders despatched directly outside the EU however, any local import duty, taxes or customs clearance are not included in our prices and must be paid for by you.

Other things to note:
Please check your parcels When you sign for a parcel being delivered, please inspect it carefully. If it has suffered in transit, you can mark the delivery note 'Parcel Damaged', before signing, or even refuse delivery in serious cases. We do of course pack carefully to help avoid these problems! Some deliveries involve more than one parcel - please check that all have been received.

We must be advised within 48 hours of delivery of any shortages or damaged goods.

Loss In Transit
If your parcel does not arrive, we have to establish our claim with the carriers concerned before we can send a replacement consignment. This can sometimes be a lengthy process, and if your part is needed urgently, a second order can be paid for to save time. We refund one of your orders as soon as the carriers clear our claim.
