Hood covers are available in several types of material.
'Original Quality' (black only) is indistinguishable from original in weight, pattern & texture.
'High Quality PVC' (black, white, beige, tan & blue) is a very close match to the original in addition to being UV stabilised & fire retardant.
'Double Duck Canvas' (black only) is made from 20oz material (without inner lining) and is a popular alternative to PVC and is not as expensive as mohair.
'Mohair' (black, brown, blue & beige) is a very high quality material (with headlining) that resists both colour fading and creasing.
All our hood covers are supplied with hood poppers and body studs which can be fitted 'in-situ' to ensure a proper fit. Please enquire for special colour hoods available to (pre-paid) order.

The Aley 'Aero' roll bar, which is fully padded, is a safety feature recommended for all TR6 owners.

Tonneau covers offer storm and weather protection for the car interior while the soft top is folded down. A central zip means that only one side need be opened if no passenger is present. The covers also incorporate a strap - sewn to the centre - and attached by a stud to the passenger seat to prevent them from billowing when only one half of the tonneau is opened. Cars with head restraints utilise a tonneau with pockets which fits over the restraints. All tonneaus include a sewn in pocket (or 'bump' in trimmerese) to accommodate the steering wheel. The covers are therefore handed for left or right hand steering.
All of the weather equipment for your TR6 was manufactured from a vinyl material. Due to changes in manufacturers specification over the years the vinyl material now available differs slightly from the original. Rest assured though that the materials used today meet or exceed those originally specified in terms of fire retardant quality and durability. We also offer double duck (canvas) and mohair materials as an attractive alternative, perhaps to complement a hood cover of the same material.

When your hood and frame assembly is folded down the best method to cover and stow it neatly is with a hood stowage cover. It is attached by the snaps on the rear of the hood and the side of the body. The hood stowage cover was, when originally supplied, coloured to match the interior of the car.
There were essentially three designs of hood stowage cover; one to be used when only the soft top was fitted, one designed to contain the folded soft top assembly inside the car when a hard top assembly was used, and one introduced at CR5001, a dual purpose item (easily identified by the additional reversible flap on its top surface) which allowed the stowage cover to be used in both hard top and soft top circumstances.
This third cover fits in the normal way, or, with the additional flap turned inside out to form a pocket, wraps around the soft top assembly. The use of the stowage cover while the hard top is fitted alleviates the need to remove the hood and frame assembly from your car and store it under the bed! The stowage covers listed below are suitable for all applications. As an alternative to the PVC material, we also offer double duck (canvas) and mohair - perhaps to match a hood cover of the same material.

The original door aperture draught excluder seal assemblies were only ever specified in black furflex. If you are suitably gifted and enterprising a coloured furflex could be substituted to match the body door seal furflex. Remember to keep the mitred steel corner piece from your old furflex to fit in the replacement if you are making your own. Use RX3000 for door draught excluder seals.

The simplest solutions are usually the best, and our stand & cover system really is the best way to store, care for and protect your hard-top when it‘s not in use.
The frame (which is powder coated), is made from high quality steel. For maneuverability it is fitted with 4 castor’s (with rubber tyres) and footbrakes, and when not in use folds flat.
The protective cover - which is fitted with adjustable securing straps & quick release buckles, is manufactured in ‘Evolution4’, a 4-layer breathable fabric, giving a strong outer layer and a smooth non-scratch inner lining. The 1-piece cover also has 2 carry handles.
