Insulating Heat Wrap Tubular manifolds by design produce a vast amount of heat in the engine compartment. This increases the possibility of electrical/ ignition components not working effectively and promotes a higher risk of fire (if any combustible material comes in to contact with the manifold), not to mention the likelihood of severe burns when working on the engine! By wrapping your tubular manifold with Thermo-Tec insulating wrap you can overcome all these risk factors. Thermo-Tec keeps the heat within the manifold so the exhaust gases have a much higher velocity, this induces negative pressure (scavenging) which increases air intake flow, resulting in better performance & economy. Single Large-Bore System (MkIV & 1500)

Stainless Steel
This single Large-Bore stainless steel system really will improve your Spitfire - both in looks and performance.
The system improves performance because the exhaust bore being larger (and free flowing) causes a 'pulse' effect, this reduces back pressure, expelling the gases more effectively. The slightly deeper exhaust note gives a very satisfactory sporty sound without being too noisy, while the 'slash-cut' polished big bore tail pipe looks superb.
