Wind Deflector
Mk1 & Mk2 hood & frame type.
Fully detachable hood with separate hood & frame. Hood frame is spring loaded to tension hood cover. Hood stows behind rear trim board, frame stows inside boot.
Leading edge (front) of hood located by a lip on windscreen capping and 2 press studs. Rear of hood located by 2 chrome brackets (on rear deck) and by press studs. Hood shaped for rounded door glass. Non 'zip-out' rear window.
Original factory Mk1 & Mk2 hoods had 2 small anti-theft hooks that clipped to the top of the screen frame, preventing the hood from being unfastened when the doors were locked and the windows fully wound up, however, due to manufacturing restrictions, we are unable to supply hoods fitted with hooks.

Fold away hood which stows behind rear seats, protected by a separate and visible hood stowage cover. Leading edge (front) of hood fastened by 2 'over-centre' type clips (later changed to a simpler lever type arrangement).
Rear of hood located by 3 rivets to a single retaining bracket (on rear deck), and by press studs. Hood shaped for rounded door glass. After FD75000 'zip-out' rear window fitted.
