Air Locks After installing a new radiator, indeed, whenever you have had cause to drain the cooling system, you MUST ensure there are no Air Locks in the system when running-up for the first time. The heater must be ’full-on’ (Open) and all the hoses should be an even temperature once the thermostat has opened. If in doubt please consult a workshop manual.
