Immobiliser (Starter Motor)
How Does 'Dis-Car-Nect' Work?
When leaving your car, simply remove the knob to isolate the starter circuit. The 16amp by-pass fuse will maintain current to all other electrical circuits - stereo memories, alarm etc. Because the starter motor draws over 150amps, any attempt to connect (hot-wire) the starter motor will instantly cause the by-pass fuse to blow, this immobilises the car until the knob is replaced. If this should happen, simply replace the 16amp fuse at your convenience. As an added advantage, the 'Dis-Car-Nect' will also prevent battery drain if you intend to store your car, simply unscrew the knob and remove the fuse. For extra security you can unscrew and remove the immobiliser knob completely.

Wiring Harnesses Availability
The majority of the main wiring harnesses listed here (for all models) have been re-manufactured to factory specification by using original and/or customers looms as patterns. They are suitable for over 75% of UK & European vehicle applications and we have been supplying them for many years. However, there are still some harnesses that we have not yet been able to manufacture/supply due to the lack of a correct pattern loom.
Original Specification
Main harnesses for the Mk1 Stag (RHD & LHD) were originally fitted with (17) injection moulded multi-block connectors, these are not fitted to our replacement looms due to manufacturing/production restrictions. However, our harnesses are fitted with connectors that will either fit into the matching plug on an original harness, or with other replacements. During the life-span of the Triumph Stag, Triumph/BL made numerous changes to the wiring system (due to air-conditioning, different alternators, Number plate lights etc). Sometimes the specification changes only lasted for a very short production period before they were changed again, and, not all the differences were obvious, they may even have been due to the factory using a different component supplier!
