Original Seat Frame Specification & Fitment
Mk3;
USA models 1968 only.

Non-reclining, Non-Headrest, Non-tilt seat
Low-back tubular frame with rubber straps across back (Squab).
Seat cushion (Base) fitted on to a shallow wire basket.

Special Note: USA Mk3 Models.
For 1968, USA spec Mk3’s were fitted with a Low-back seat with a tubular frame which used rubber straps across the back. The seats were reclining, Non-headrest and Non-Tilt. Apart from the actual seat frame, all other mechanical parts are the same as the High-back type seats introduced in 1969.

From 1969 to 1970, USA spec Mk3’s were equipped with High-back seats that had built-in headrests.
