Prices, VAT, Tax & Payment

Prices

Depending on your Geo location, our website displays two prices in GBP, one excluding VAT (for worldwide countries including the EU) and one including VAT at 20% for the UK only.

Please note that for Australia, New Zealand and Norway, prepaid taxes will not be shown until checkout, after the destination is entered. See below.

The cost of Shipping and packing is not included in our Parts prices - this is shown separately at the end of the order (excluding oversized export orders which are quoted for on an individual basis).

All orders will be invoiced and charged in GBP.
Any prices shown in US Dollars, Euros or other currency are subject to exchange rate fluctuations and are intended for guidance only and cannot be assumed to be wholly accurate.

Please be aware that when using a program to translate our website, it will not always convert prices correctly.

All goods are sold subject to the price ruling at the time of invoicing.

UK
Orders shipped within the UK are charged VAT at the applicable rate on parts and shipping. UK VAT will be refunded on any items returned for credit.

EU orders sent via lOSS (under 150* EURO) are inclusive of EU VAT at the rate applicable in the country of destination. EU VAT will be refunded by us on any items returned for credit.

EU orders sent via EU All Inclusive or Delivered at Place (DAP) services include an additional carrier surcharge for customs processing - we do not collect the EU VAT or Duty. If you return any items to us for credit, we can only refund the goods value. EU VAT or Duty must be recovered from the relevant EU customs authority, by you.

Norway orders are charged VAT at the applicable rate on parts and shipping. Norway VAT will be refunded by us on any items returned for credit.

Australia and New Zealand orders are subject to GST at the applicable rate when the parts value is less than or equal to the AUD/NZD $1000 threshold. In such cases Rimmer Bros will apply GST tot the entire order (parts plus shipping) and will remit the GST collected to the appropriate Tax Authorities. GST will be refunded by us on any items returned for credit.
On orders over $1000.01*, GST is not charged by us and is instead, collected by customs upon entry into the country. If you return any items to us for credit, we can only refund the goods value. GST must be recovered from the customs authority, by you. Please note that any GST is displayed as "VAT" on the invoice. Business Customers who are registered for GST and have an ABN or NZBN should contact us prior to ordering with these details, as we will provide a method of ordering without GST being applied.

For other worldwide destinations any tax, duty, or customs charges must be paid for by you upon import and are not included in our prices. If you return any items to us for credit, we can only refund the goods value. Any tax or duty paid, must be recovered from the customs authority, by you.
Please note that UK VAT is not charged on orders sent directly overseas.

Business Number
EU businesses will need to provide an EORI number at the time of order placement.
NO businesses will need to provide a VAT registration number at the time of order placement.

Books & Manuals
Note that books and manuals are generally zero rated for VAT purposes depending upon destination.

Payment
We accept all major credit, debit & charge cards for secure on-line payments. We also accept Paypal on orders where all items are in stock. Orders can also be pre-paid by bank transfer (in GBP/Euro/US Dollar- please add £12.00 to cover bank charges). If you send cash or Rimmer Bros Vouchers, please use registered mail. Please note we no longer accept Cheques.
