Tubular manifolds by design produce a vast amount of heat in the engine compartment. This increases the possibility of electrical/ignition components not working effectively and promotes a higher risk of fire (if any combustible material comes in to contact with the manifold), not to mention the likelihood of severe burns when working on the engine!
By wrapping your tubular manifold with Thermo-Tec insulating wrap you can overcome all these risk factors. Thermo-Tec keeps the heat within the manifold so the exhaust gases have a much higher velocity, this induces negative pressure (scavenging) which increases air intake flow, resulting in better performance & economy. It also reduces under bonnet noise.
Technical Notes: Thermo-Tec heat wrap - which is race & rally proven - comes in rolls 2" wide x 50ft long and moulds to the contours of the manifold. Being a silica based fabric (it does not contain asbestos or carcinogens), it is unaffected by oil or water, withstands temperatures up to 1000 degrees celsius and reduces under bonnet temperatures by up to 70%.
Snap-Strap Retaining Kit We strongly recommend that you use Snap-Straps to retain the insulation. These are stainless steel straps with a narrow profile (for tight spots) that you cut to length and fasten with snap type heads. Alternatively you can skin your knuckles and use hose clips!

These systems use twin rear silencers which couple directly to a 'Y' pipe, connector pipe and either
a tubular exhaust manifold or standard downpipe, depending on which system you decide to fit.

Stainless Steel System
These systems include a 'free flow' single sports version of the standard rear silencer with polished tail pipes and a stainless steel exhaust system. Available either with a 6 branch tubular manifold or less manifold for fitting to a standard downpipe.

Stainless Steel System
This single exit Large-Bore Stainless Steel system really will improve your GT6 - both in looks and performance.
The system improves performance because the exhaust bore being larger (and free flowing) causes a 'pulse' effect, this reduces back pressure, expelling the gases more effectively. The manifold is also of special design being expertly crafted (mandrel bent) to extract the most from your engine (6 into 3 into 1 collectors). The slightly deeper exhaust note gives a very satisfactory sporty sound without being too noisy, while the polished big bore tail pipe looks superb.

Includes 6 branch (6 into 3 into 1) tubular manifold, a 2 into 1 manifold link pipe, a front intermediate pipe, a rear link and rear silencer/tailpipe.

Stainless Steel
These Rear 'free-flow' single sports silencers can be fitted to a standard exhaust system as a direct replacement for the standard rear silencer. The 'freeflow' design gives a sporty exhaust note (without being too noisy) and the polished tailpipe(s) will really enhance your GT6.
